Click on New User? Register option

You will be required to provide the following information in order to register.

- Your name
- Your e-mail address
- Preferred User ID
- Password
- Type of User

After you have registered, you will be redirected to your Personalized Certificate Management Center. Here, you will be entering your Digital Certificate details and generating the Key Pair.

Note: The Cryptographic Service Provider or CSP is a program that generates your public/private key pair. The Indian IT Act stipulates that you use 1024 bit length keys. In case your browser does not support 1024 bit keys, your browser has to be updated with the relevant patches.

Choose the appropriate CSP depending on where you plan to store your private key. For generating the Key Pair on Internet Explorer (IE): Select the Cryptographic Service Provider (CSP).
You will need to select from one of the two Microsoft CSP's. Select the Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider option if it's available.

If the CSP options list does not include the Microsoft Enhanced Cryptographic Provider, then you may need to upgrade your browser with the appropriate service packs.

For generating the Key Pair on Netscape: Select the length of the Key Pairs generated. Select the 1024 bit-length option.

For generating the Key Pair on a Hardware Device: If you are using a special hardware device such as a smart card, please select the appropriate CSP as directed by the manufacturer.


Documents Required For Issuance of Digital Certificate

Once you have completed the required documentation. Kindly send the same to the following address along with the required payment of Rs. 2,600/- (per certificate).

Downloading the Digital Certificate

After submitting your online request (Step-1), you get a Request No. You can use this Request No. to monitor the progress of your certificate application. The following are the 3 states your application will go through during its processing:

Status-A: Generation Request Pending with RA Office
This means that your certificate request is in the validation process by the RA Office.
Status-B: Generation Request Pending with CA Office
This means that your certificate request is in the validation process by the CA Office.
Status-C: Certificate Generated

This means that your certificate validation process is completed and your Digital Certificate is generated and ready for download.

You can download your certificate by logging to your Personalized Certificate Management Center.

The certificate should be downloaded on the same machine where the Key Pair was generated.

You will receive an e-mail notification after your Certificate has been generated. This notification is sent at the e-mail address entered during the enrolment process
